The 2012 Honda Insight: Sneak Peak

Honda recently revealed their 2012 Insight, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in Germany. The Insight, previously coined "A Hybrid for Everyone"1, has undergone a significant redesign for the 2012 model year.

Of course, Honda has worked hard to keep specs under wraps prior to the premier. As is the case for any new car unveiling, the automaker likes to give their critics and enthusiasts a surprise. That said, Scholfield Honda does have a few tasty morsels to share with you to tide you over until we can serve you a full dish of details following the show.

The first improvement made to the 2012 Honda Insight compared to even the highly efficient 2011 model is with regards to fuel economy. Photographs released by Honda to garner interest in the redesigned Insight hybrid prior to its debut demonstrate how the Big H employed a more aerodynamic front bumper and grill to help achieve this feat. Other factors Honda has explicitly said have helped to improve the fuel economy in the new Insight hybrid are reduced engine friction, and modifications to the CVT and AC system.

Watch for more details surrounding the 2012 Honda Insight coming soon.
