James Clark from ALG states, "We continue to believe that residual value is the best metric for evaluating the overall strength of an automotive brand." With its incredible versatility and Honda durability, the Fit has proven to be a hot commodity whether new or used.
The Fit has once again conquered Car and Driver's 10Best Cars list. This highly respected automotive magazine had lots of praise for the Fit, from its entertaining drive to the 2nd-row Magic Seat®. "We're equally zinged by this Honda's upscale interior, its quick and precise steering, an engaging shifter, spot-on ergonomics, a windshield as big as a minivan's, and a rear seat that is both adult-habitable and drops to the floor faster than a Marine pumping push-ups... the Fit offers a fun-to-drive quotient that proves basic transportation isn't always basic."[1]
The Honda Insight is J.D. Power and Associates' "Highest Ranked Compact Car in Initial Quality in a Tie" in their 2011 Initial Quality Study SM (IQS) (tied with the Civic). For the third consecutive year, the Honda Insight was named a 2011 Top 10 Green Car by Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com[1]. The criteria for this award go beyond a vehicle's fuel economy and CO2 emissions; its safety ratings, creature comforts, price tag and overall driving enjoyment are also important factors. The Insight's exceptional fuel economy[2] (40 city/43 highway), modest price tag and legendary Honda real-world utility helped it make the Top Ten Green Cars list again this year.
The Insight was named one of the "Greenest Vehicles of 2011" by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE). With its 41 mpg combined fuel economy[1] and ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) or AT-PZEV (Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle) rating[2], earning this honor was easy for the Insight. Two other Honda vehicles also made the list, making 2011 the 10th consecutive year Honda has had more than two cars named to ACEEE's "Greenest Vehicles."
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) toughened up its crash-safety tests for 2011, and the Odyssey passed with flying colors. In fact, the Odyssey earned 5 stars in each seating position of all three crash-safety tests, as well as earning a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score[1].
When picking their "Top 10 Family Cars" for 2011[1], the editors of Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com considered what features a family needs most, like safety, comfort, economy of operation, child-friendliness, a reasonable purchase price and good resale value. And the 2011 Odyssey again impressed the kbb.com experts: "As the gold standard of minivans, the Honda Odyssey easily makes our list of family haulers. Designed to please the whole family, including the driver, the 2011 Honda Odyssey offers surprisingly responsive handling while maintaining a comfortable highway ride."
The auto experts at Edmunds.com certainly were impressed by the 2011 Odyssey. They named it a 2011 Top RecommendedSMvehicle, saying, the 2011 Honda Odyssey has a "luxuriously quiet and smooth ride, as well as all-around comfort and versatility." In Edmunds.com's review of the 2011 Odyssey, they noted "[it] is a top pick for a minivan, thanks to its highly versatile interior, long list of features and responsive handling." In addition, the editors at Edmunds.com also loved the Odyssey's quiet cabin and fuel-efficient V-6 engine[1].
